coming out

How do you come out? 🏳️🌈

The coming outThe revelation is not an easy thing to do. Very few people find this stage of their lives easy, if any. None of them can say that they have not felt pressure, stress or fear of rejection. Homosexuals, Bisexuals and all other genders present in society are not the same, but for all those who assume it, they have gone through the same stage: having to announce it or make it known.

You are in this case and you don't know how to deal with it but it's eating you up?

We'll give you some tips to help you feel prepared.

Coming out: feeling ready

According to theExpress who wrote an article about it, not everyone who goes through this stage is ready at the same time. Some take it on at 40, others in their teens... but YOU will find the strength to do it. The most important thing is that you accept the situation.

It's hard not to suffer when you know your loved ones can't understand. Your mother wants grandchildren and you will probably never give them to her. Your father grew up in a macho family where femininity and feistiness were not allowed... so many uncomfortable situations when coming out! But you have to dare. To reassure yourself and get advice from others who have been there, don't hesitate to consult online forums and blogs on the subject.

Many will tell you that there is no time to announce it, so feel strong enough to do so. And above all, don't hesitate to consult a therapist beforehand if you feel the need. You should also know that psychologists are covered by social security since April 2022 in some cases. Find out more!

How to come out

It's the big day, you're finally getting ready to make your declaration today, no matter how your loved ones react. But how do you do it?

Trust your instincts and what will make you and your loved ones feel most comfortable.

A family meeting, a phone call to your mom to get the word out to others, or a letter... There are many ways to come out.

However, we recommend that you have a real discussion to "get to the bottom of it" and avoid the unspoken. Implied words will only make your loved ones talk more. Since they may not understand, they will talk about it more than if you are direct with them.

To come out, you need to think about who you want to tell. You might want to tell your mother, who might be more understanding, your best friend, or you might want to make a general announcement to everyone. Whichever you prefer!

Once you take this step, you will be liberated as they say! 😍
